Troy Lam, DDS, MD

Dr. Troy Lam is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon with fellowship training in Pediatric Cleft and Craniofacial Surgery. Dr. Lam grew up in Colorado where he received his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Northern Colorado in 2004. He subsequently attended Stony Brook University where he earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) in 2014. After dental school, Dr. Lam completed a residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco in 2020. During this time, Dr. Lam earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine in 2018 and completed an internship in General Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco Department of Surgery in 2019. Following residency, Dr. Lam completed a Pediatric Cleft and Craniofacial Surgery fellowship with Pat Ricalde, MD, DDS, FACS, who is renowned for her work in helping children born with facial differences. 

Dr. Lam’s clinical interests include orthognathic (corrective jaw) surgery, cleft lip and palate, craniofacial surgery, facial trauma, and routine oral surgery.

Outside of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Dr. Lam enjoys going on walks with his family, observing beautiful scenery and barbecuing. He and his fiancée, Lydia, especially enjoy spending their time together with their four dogs, Daisy, Pixie, Asher, and Toby. An interesting fact about Dr. Lam is he has also earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Organic Chemistry from Syracuse University.
